I sunk into the whirlwind of the weekend vibe, but missing a day did not matter. Nothing was procrastinated. Every activity was deliberate and planned. I made an almost fatal error in my victory. I did not plan for the return to routine. Getting back into a consistent routine after a break (even as short as a weekend break) could become a challenge. If you are not prepared for this, it’s a slippery slope into defeat. I was well on my way down the slope, when I remember a weapon. A simple yet powerful tool that can transform chaos into control: writing lists.

Taking a few moments each day to jot down tasks, goals, and priorities, unlocks the potential in routine from which organisation and productivity emerges. I wrote a list and retook control of my life.

10 minutes to Midnight

I had spent the last 90 minutes on my phone. Royal Match and then Scrabble, before I realised Procrastination was truly back. I felt control slipping away as I continued. Needing to pee gave me the break I needed for a second, and whilst I sat there, the truth dawned.
